Ideas for a creative corporate event with glass — we have collected 25 working scenarios from our experience in conducting workshops and team building for teams of 10-50 people. All ideas have been tested at real corporate events in our GlassBaker workshop and on-site programs. Suitable for a company birthday, New Year’s corporate party, March 8, February 23, or simply as a format “instead of a standard banquet.”

Part 1: 5 workshop ideas as the core of a corporate event

  1. Lampwork pendants. Each employee at the burner makes a pendant — a snowflake, a ball, an angel (for the New Year), a heart (for March 8), a flower (the general theme). A group of 4-6 people at the same time at the burners. Duration 1.5-2 hours per participant.
  2. Stained glass Tiffany «Flags». Everyone makes a flag with a name letter or symbol. The finale is a common garland of all the flags that can be hung in the office. Suitable for a team of 8-15 people.
  3. Mosaic panel “common coat of arms of the company”. A team of 15-30 people makes a common mosaic picture with a company logo or a thematic pattern. To each his own section, in the final assembly of the whole. The product remains in the office as a memory.
  4. Fusing “I am Picasso” — a series of abstract paintings. Each employee spends 2 hours laying out his composition from colored glass, and the picture is then sintered in a kiln. After 1-3 days, everyone comes to pick up the finished work — this is the second point of contact with the corporate party.
  5. Paired “Glass Rings” for co-worker couples. If the company has married couples or employee couples, there is a separate program for two in the art date format.

Part 2: 5 “competitive” formats inside the workshop

  1. Guess whose product. Everyone makes products anonymously (without attribution). In the final, the team guesses who did what. Captures 100% of participants, works as a warm-up and introduction for new employees.
  2. Brand challenge — product in company colors. Everyone makes products only from the colors of the corporate brand (for example, blue + white + gold). In the final there is voting for the brightest.
  3. Thematic challenge — “depict your department”. Everyone makes a product that symbolizes their department or position. The finale is a presentation-explanation.
  4. Matched Pairs — Department vs. Department. Teams of 4 people make a joint product. Voting of the team, whose is the best.
  5. Competition «creative product name». Everyone makes the same basic program (for example, a lampwork pendant), but they come up with a name/story for the product. In the final there is voting for the best story.

Part 3: 5 ideas for a themed corporate party (for an occasion)

  1. New Year’s corporate party — lampwork snowflakes and Christmas tree decorations. Each employee makes 1-2 pendants for the Christmas tree. More details on the page New Year workshops.
  2. Corporate party on March 8th — lampwork decorations for a women’s team. Lollipop earrings, pendants, rings — each employee takes away a piece of jewelry. Cm. workshop on March 8.
  3. Corporate party on February 23rd — mosaic stands and stained glass items for men. Serious techniques with physical results. Cm. February 23.
  4. Company birthday — mosaic panel with logo + year. The joint work of a team of 30-50 people remains in the office as a symbol.
  5. Company anniversary 5/10/20 years — a series of lampwork pendants “era”. Each employee makes a pendant symbolizing the year of work (or the year the company was founded).

Part 4: 5 ideas for a corporate retreat outdoors or in a loft

  1. Corporate event in nature — mobile mosaic set. Country hotel, outdoor terrace, tables with mosaic tiles. Safe, no fire, for any size group.
  2. Corporate party in the loft — fusion format. Part of the evening is a workshop, part is a buffet, and part is a photo zone with finished products.
  3. Team building in a country hotel — lampwork with a portable burner. One or two craftsmen leave with equipment. Group of 10-15 people, duration 2-3 hours.
  4. Corporate holiday at the dacha — mosaic as a meditative activity. In the morning after the festive dinner the day before — a calm workshop that calms and switches.
  5. Thematic corporate event “Moscow City” — a series of flags with symbols of Moscow. The products remain in the office as decor.

Part 5: 5 ideas for the format of guests (if you want without classic team building)

  1. Family corporate party — parent-employees come with children. The program is adapted to the age: children 8+ work with stained glass or mosaic, adults — with lampwork.
  2. Corporate event for retired colleagues (company veterans). Morning slot, calm pace, programs for 50+. Cm. workshops for pensioners.

How to choose a format for your team

If you are planning a creative corporate event with glass, here is a short logic for choosing a format:

  • Group up to 15 people → lampwork is possible (4-6 people at the same time at the burners, rotation). Deep, individual format.
  • Group 15-30 people → Tiffany stained glass or mosaic — in parallel at a common table, the master walks between everyone.
  • Group of 30-50 people → 2-3 parallel subgroups with different techniques at the same time. Duration 2.5-3.5 hours.
  • Group of 50+ people → on-site buffet format with mobile equipment, rotation of 30-60 minutes per participant.
