Lampwork workshop for adults: connection with history at the burner

✨ Do you know what especially amazed me at the lampwork workshop? Feeling connected to history. I sat in front of the burner flame, held molten glass in my hands and thought: after all, people have been making glass jewelry for hundreds of years!

I felt like I was part of this eternal chain of masters. It was as if somewhere in ancient Phenicia or medieval Venice, the same woman sat by the fire and created beads for necklaces. This thought gave me goosebumps: I continued a tradition that has survived centuries. My first bead came out, of course, not of the Venetian level, but I put my soul into it just like the craftswomen of the past. At the end of the lesson, I imagined how someday my future grandchildren would find this bead in a box and be surprised: “Did grandma really make it herself?” And this thought warmed me more than the fire of the burner. I realized that I had created not just a piece of jewelry, but a connecting thread between generations — a small immortal miracle made of glass💎🫶.
