When we forgot how to play — and how to allow ourselves to play again
When did we forget how to play? At what point did “just for fun” change to “why is this needed and what will it give”? It seems that this happened unnoticed — somewhere between the endless “shoulds” and the eternal “not now”.
And today I suddenly caught that same childish joy. I sat, forgetting about everything, doing something completely unnecessary — without benefit, without purpose, without trying to turn it into a result. Just because it’s beautiful. Because it’s interesting. Because at some point the hands themselves remember what it’s like to play.

That girl who once loved to tinker, make things, and proudly show everyone what she had done, has not gone away. She had just been waiting a long time to be allowed to go out again. And she should allow it more often — she knows more about joy than we “should” with all our adults.

If you want to try
It’s easy to bring back this lightness at the “Lollipops & Marmalade” workshop: bright glass beads-candy canes by the burner are pure pleasure without benefit or purpose. Price — from 3,800 RUR. You can sign up and see the dates on the workshop page «Lollipops & Marmalade» or in schedule.
